CLASS INFORMATION

What to expect

The typical duration of a class is two hours.
Students are requested to turn up on time, and in suitable clothing (t-shirt, loose trousers, training shoes) although a traditional uniform is worn by some members it is not compulsory.

We begin with a group warm-up, which usually consists of 10 repetitions of a technique (or sequence of techniques) per person (i.e. ten punches) then onto another technique.
This is just to warm your body and focus your mind for the training ahead.

Gradually, the class breaks up into different groups.
Newcomers will be taught the basics, whilst the beginners go through the first form of the Wing Chun system and basic drills.

Senior students will work on more advanced forms, specific techniques and Chi Sau

As a newcomer you will be encouraged to watch other members of the class train and ask any questions you may have about the Wing Chun system or the class itself.
